Who Is Dr. Sharmane Miller?
A twenty six-year veteran educator, Dr. Sharmane Miller is passionate about helping educators become life-long learners. As an author of children’s books, short stories, and poetry, she is particularly driven to help teachers motivate and teach young learners to become effective writers. Dr. Miller is sought after by public and private schools for her interactive writing workshops, and her lively presentations to students which highlight the importance of literacy skills. She uses her experience as a classroom teacher and a national language arts examination writer to create unique resources that aid both teachers and students. Her recent workbook “In the WRITE Direction” is quickly becoming a hit in this regard. Dr. Miller is the founder and CEO of Proactive Skill Developers where, as an education consultant, human resource trainer and author, she implores educators everywhere to work harder on themselves than they do on their jobs.
